Members Password Changed

The password for the Members Only area of the website has now changed.

If you’re on our emailing list, you will shortly be receiving an email with the new password. However, if you are a fully paid-up member but do not currently receive emails, please contact us via the Contact Form and we will be happy to send you the password and add you to the email list.

A VERY SPECIAL “HAPPY CHRISTMAS” TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE SONDHEIM SOCIETY!

If you’re a member of the Stephen Sondheim Society, please look at the Members’ Only area of the website, where you will find details of how to sign up for exclusive email updates (if you don’t already receive these) plus a GIFT AID form to download.
GIFT AID is very important to us if you’re a UK tax payer because it means we can grab a nice lot of cash from those lovely people at the Inland Revenue – at no cost to you!

Also, I’d just like to let you know that the password for the members area will be changing at the beginning of 2012, so watch out for the new password after Christmas.

If you’ve just read this and are feeling left out because you haven’t joined the Society yet, then why not head on over to the “Become A Member” page and choose the Membership Package which best suits you? You can even give one to someone else as a present!

In the meantime, for a special Stephen Sondheim Christmas song (by our friend Charles Bloom) click HERE, then scroll down the page and click “Play” next to Stephen Sondheim Christmas.

Ladies and Gentlemen - may we have your attention per-lease?

Updates to the website

Apologies if you were trying to access the website this morning, but we were making a few changes in order to bring certain things up to date, and streamline other things.

If you’re sharp-eyed, you may have spotted that we have inserted Sir Cameron Mackintosh’s name amongst the list of patrons in the banner at the top of the page.

The other major change concerns the Discussion Board.

The nature of interacting online has been changing over the past few years, and the trend is moving away from the traditional “forum” approach towards more use of social networking tools such as Twitter and Facebook.

In order to keep in step with the evolving patterns, we have decided to discontinue the Discussion Board, and this has now been removed from the site.

Our Twitter account now has well over 700 followers, and it is growing on an almost daily basis. By following us and sending “tweets” you can be sure that information and opinions can be kept dynamically up-to-date and can be seen prominently in the twitter feed on our website. The Society’s new Facebook page is another excellent means of communication, and is ideal if you need a greater amount of characters than that allowed on Twitter.

The web address for the Twitter account is: www.twitter.com/StephenSSociety, and the Facebook page is at http://www.facebook.com/StephenSSociety

Finally, we have removed the link to the old website (“Archive”).  Our statistics have shown that it has had virtually no visitors since the site went live, and therefore we decided that it was simply taking up room on the menu bar. Its presence also had an influence on the speed of the site, so you should find things load a bit faster now we have removed it.
